What to do in Costa Adeje.
Passione Sea Breeze sits above this coast. The outings below are the ones worth leaving the terrace for — water, the volcano, and a proper fish lunch.

Water
Parks, whales, and the marina.
Siam Park
About ten minutes by taxi from Costa Adeje, usually €10–12. Adults €35, children €25. Book online in summer so the gate is not a surprise. The park opens at 10:00 year-round; allow five or six hours. Eat before you go — food inside is priced like a park.
Whales and dolphins
Boats leave Puerto Colón and Los Cristianos for two or three hours, about €35–45 a person. Short-finned pilot whales live in the channel all year. Morning sailings, around 09:00–10:00, are the calmer ones. Book at the harbour rather than through a hotel desk.
Puerto Colón
The marina is about fifteen minutes by taxi, or half an hour on foot from the centre of Costa Adeje. Jet skis run about €50–80 for half an hour, parasailing €50–70, a paddleboard €15–20 an hour. The walk south toward Playa de Troya is the quiet one.
Further out
Surf, Teide, a gorge, another island.
El Socorro
A black-sand surf beach about thirty minutes north. A taxi is roughly €25–30 each way. Beginner lessons are €25–40 for two hours. If that drive is too far, the same schools teach at Playa de Fañabé.
Mount Teide
The cable car to 3,555 m is €27–38 and sells out, so book it before you leave the apartment. The last walk to the summit needs a free permit from the national park, often weeks ahead. The TF-21 from Costa Adeje takes about an hour. A bus tour, if you would rather not drive, is about €35–45.
Masca
The gorge is a one-way descent, three or four hours down to a cove, then a boat (€15) along to Los Gigantes. The drive from Costa Adeje is about forty-five minutes on a steep road. Take two litres of water and shoes you trust. The village at the top is worth the drive even if you stop there.
La Gomera
Fred Olsen’s fast ferry leaves Los Cristianos and takes about an hour and twenty-five minutes, from about €30 return. A day on the island is enough for Valle Gran Rey, or for the laurel forest in Garajonay if you would rather be in the mist. Book the weekend boats ahead.
Adeje old town
Half an hour inland, and quieter than the coast. The Barranco del Infierno walk starts at the edge of town: about two hours to a waterfall, €8, and a daily cap, so reserve before you go. The old church is Santa Úrsula.
Eating
Fish in the village, not on the strip.
La Caleta
Ten minutes by taxi, about €8–10. Two rooms on the water do the job: El Jable and La Playita. Ask what came off the boats that morning. A fish main is about €16–24. Book dinner and weekend lunch.
Adeje market
Thursday and Saturday mornings in the town, not on the promenade. Potatoes, palm honey, mojo, goat’s cheese, and fruit from the slopes. A taxi from the coast is about €18–20.
Golf at Abama
A cliff course above the Atlantic, with Teide in the view from several holes. A visitor round is about €100–180, less at twilight. Book the tee time. The restaurants on the resort are open if only one of you plays.
Along the Costa Adeje strip itself, a simple lunch is about €10–18, a proper dinner €25–40, and a booked table with a view €50–80. The same guide is blunt about it: the fish in La Caleta is the better meal, and it costs less.
