The complex has a shared outdoor pool, heated all year, and plenty of free parking. The apartment is on the seaward edge of Amarilla Golf, close to the golf course and Marina San Miguel, with a swimming spot right on the doorstep.

You don't need a car for a quiet stay in Amarilla – the pool, the sea and the supermarkets are all within walking distance – but it's handy if you want to explore the island. CICAR – desk inside the TFS terminal. Goldcar – desk in the terminal, a short walk to the cars. Autoreisen – Canary Islands firm with all-inclusive pricing. AlisCar Costa Adeje – Av. Ernesto Sarti 12 – VW Polo automatic from about €70 a day, around €60 a day for seven days or more. Worth knowing: the streets of old Adeje are one-way, so park and walk. Mountain roads and the roads up to Teide are narrower than they look, and GPS can drop out. Check parking at the building before you arrive. One-way drop-offs at TFN may carry a delivery fee.
